¿Why are indigenous communities important in environmental conservation?

Indigenous lands gather 80% of the total BIODIVERSITY in the world, therefore we recognize that INDIGENOUS COMMUNITIES have the capacity to manage their territory and contribute significantly to the mitigation of climate change and the conservation of the biodiversity present in their territories, through their traditional knowledge system and their law of origin.

¿What are communities doing to achieve the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework targets proposed at COP15?

The indigenous communities, hand in hand with the YAUTO company, have managed to empower themselves, acquiring external technical tools which have allowed them to formulate and implement projects to keep this forest standing, through the strengthening of their own knowledge system and cultural principles.
