WE MUST ALL TAKE ACTION, TO ACHIEVE BALANCE

WHAT IS THE CARBON FOOTPRINT?

The carbon footprint measures greenhouse gas emissions from human activity. Every time we travel by car, charge our mobile phone or run a washing machine, among thousands of other routines, we leave behind a trail of gases that accumulate in the atmosphere and overheat the planet.

Carbon calculation - What is a sustainable carbon footprint?

The term carbon footprint refers to the amount of carbon emissions you cause each year. The average global carbon footprint today is approximately 5 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent per year. But in the Western world, average per capita carbon emissions are double that. To limit global warming to a maximum of 2 degrees Celsius, we must reduce our carbon footprint to less than 2 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent per year.
